Good suggestion Eric, I think our suggestions for the Bold Move do go a long way to facilitating grass roots marketing:
1) Freeing content by tagging making it liquid and searchable, go a long way to enable it to be found and incorporated into multiple web 'containers' (RSS, Blogs, news aggregators etc)
2) Our Blogger Outreach 'feeds' the industry and IBM bloggers and out to the 'community'
3) Our suggestion of setting up a community for IBM Partners will motivate really engaged partners to set up sub groups of special interest to find one another, communicate and share ideas, especially regionally and locally.
4) We had a lot of ideas around PartnerWorld this year that weren't in the end used: like 'Tell Us Your Story' where the idea was to have customers tell us their success stories and build some compelling stories around say fast implementation or a specific Built-0n Solution, then use the 'headlines' from those stories at events, and on the web to elicit more conversations and eventually more sales.
But you're right, the web is the ideal grass roots marketing medium, it's at once 'mass' yet also highly personal, and we all need to push more on coming up with great ideas around it.
